Hi Guys, I’d like to be able to add T&Cs to just the estimate and not the invoice. At the moment if you add T&Cs it comes up on everything. It is at the point of quotation you want your customer to accept the T&Cs and for (me at least) I don’t want them replicated on the invoice.
I actually would like this but the other way around. I don’t want it to appear on the estimates, purchase orders or credit memos, but I do want them on the invoice.
I was wondering if you had a feature for printing client addresses from the app.
Anyway to get a signature placed on the same page as the invoice so it is only one page when printed? (Assuming, as In my case, a custom invoice and limited number of items on the invoice)
Also, would like to better understand typical use workflow for a products only business. E.g., use estimates to gather initial order from clients, combine all estimates for a week and summarize by vendor (how?) to generate a PO to my vendors to purchase the products, convert the estimates to invoices when product is delivered at client site (adjusting from estimate numbers as needed); record charges from vendors based on POs as receipts to track COGS for profit & loss, etc. How do others do similar?
you should introduce client discount % for industrial customer or different price for the same product, different tax rate instead of having to do it manually in canada we have 5 different tax rate who is connected by province
Hi Steve. Thanks for your feedback. It’s always very insightful to hear from our customers in different markets.
1) Is it possible to automatically create invoices for clients that are on a subscription service?
2) Any chance that with the new payment system emails you can include the clients name along with the invoice number, not just the invoice number?
I would like to see an option to create a recurring invoice.
Hi Fernando, thanks for your suggestion. I encourage you to sign up for the RoundTable to have more opportunities to give us your feedback.
This option already exists i believe, in Scheduling
1) When I send an invoice or estimate there is a notification that tells me the email was sent, which is very helpful. Is there away to have something similar when i’m converting estimates to invoices? Somehow maybe a pop letting me know that i’m creating a duplicate? That would be helpful.
2) In my industry I send invoices for draw payments. When I send the invoice it shows the full amount due. Is there a way to create a tab that would allow me to bill just a percentage of the amount due?
For Example:
Total Due $5000
(I click on a tab that allows me to enter percentage due)
Amount Due This Invoice/Today – $2,500
I would like to be able to attach a PDF to an invoice along with the jpg
Thanks Stuart. That is something that we’re currently considering. Thanks for the suggestion.
when will live chat be back and hen will the add an accountant be back up and running?
This is good, here are my suggestions:
1- Reports should be available for Purchase orders as well : for e.g: Purchase orders by customers .There should be similar folders “Paid” / “Unpaid” in Purchase orders.
2- When we made a second user account, we can block access to everything but employee will still get access to product cost. Even thou they can’t change it but we like an option where it can be hidden.
3- With Second user, when they created invoices they can see all invoices that are in that folder, there should be separate folder for that “Sales” Person since it’s a separate user which gets synced to Original folder. This way sales person can view his / her own sales reports, how they are doing .. and off course you can charge extra for these all above features.
4- Purchase order should have option for partial payments same as invoices.
5- Inventory management if you like to add this feature, this can help a lot since inventory will be be automatically adjusted based on product going out from invoices.
6- You guys did a great job creating this app, i think this program has lot of potential to go even further, As i mentioned people will pay extra to get those above features.
Thanks Wacus. Thanks for these insightful suggestions. It will help us in defining our roadmap. We’d love to hear more from you with the RoundTable!
It would be great if customers can be assigned exclusively to different salespersons so they would be able to view and manage their own group of customers instead of viewing all customers; their supervisors will be able to view and manage all customers that assigned by the manager.
Hi Martin, thanks for the feedback. We look forward hearing more from you with the Invoice2go RoundTable
Yes!
it would be great if you can include a total number of items on the bottom of the invoices!
Would like the product codes on the purchase orders and credit memos as these are for the wholesaler. I do NOT want them on quotes and invoices as my customers have in the past, googled them and declared they can get them cheaper. Some have also gone to a local wholesaler and used my quote to get their own parts and do the job themselves.
Also a way of archiving accepted estimates, and automatically moving old estimates to a “not won” folder after a period of time.
Oh, and when picking parts off the web app, there are only a limited number of characters width in the window. Cannot see the full description. Could this be re-sized or re-sizeable?
Not sure if already requested, but when I add stuff from my calendar2go, the dates get messy.. can we auto arrange chronologically? Please
Inventory Control would be awesome!
Ability to Use the Customers Phone # to call from Skype or facetime would be Great
Ability to assign a custom field in estimates to accept only dates and will automatically make an Tentative entry in calendar2go on that date referring to the estimate number and client name, Once an invoice for that estimate is issued then the tentative can automatically become confirmed in calendar2go
The ability to not have to set terms for every invoice I have the 30 day checked but still have to adjust it everytime because it’s never the same and a field for customers purchase order number to be inputed
Would be nice to issue a PO, then receive stock from the PO and manage inventory.
Would be nice to add more taxes as we have more than 3 regional tax percentages in Canada
export of business info ie,contacts, portion of contacts to spreadsheets for mass email and data collection.
Foreign currency in the expenses silo. When I import expenses into an invoice I need to be able to see the client to get the right expenses. I put clients in the ‘tag’ field. I want to convert an estimate into an invoice and send it (I bet someone is now going to tell me I can do that!). When I log in on the phone, I seem to have to log in twice; in the pop up and then in the app.
hi I will like to see when a estimate is converted to and invoice it should tell you Example the estimate should have a different color or some way off letting you know that the estimate was converted to an invoice I do a lot off estimates for the same client but not all are converted to invoice thanks great software
Can you PLEASE make an “Approved” folder? So when I mark my estimates “Approved” they will either automatically go in or I can move them into the “Approved” folder.
This way I don’t have to search through dozens of estimates to find the Approved ones.
Another suggestion is, instead of having to Copy estimates to the “invoice” folder, can’t we have a “Move” button that’ll pull the estimate from the estimate folder and move it to the invoice folder? This way I no longer have to go back into the estimate folder look through all the estimates and then delete it.
These updates would be tremendous to us…
Thanks!!!
Sean O.
If you could graph quotations also that would be great. Ability to graph weekly would be awesome too as many people run their businesses on a weekly basis. Being able to analyze quotation graphs along sales graphs would be awesome.
Igor
in receipts2go can you please make the option to have the receipts in portraite as i am getting a stiff neck every time i want to check on receipts, i scan them in and later check for price increases to adjust my products.
More than anything I think the app needs an “Approved” folder. Move your approved estimates into the Approved folder so you know who needs to be scheduled for service, who’s waiting to have their job done, who you need to contact for anything regarding their estimate. An “Approved Estimates” folder, make it happen Invoice2go lol.
Sean.
A delivery note would be ideal for me, basically the same as the invoice but without prices on and and area for the customer to sign.
from my lap top on the Web app…When emailing quotes and invoices I would love it if they were sent from my own email account. I find it hard to track what I have sent and my clients often contact me and say they havent received my emails. I also find that my emails sent from invoice2go are lost in my clients junk mail.
Would like to show the customers phone contact number on the invoice.
We do this using the custom fields option.
You create a custom field called Telephone: and then place that field on the invoice where you want it to show.
To fill it in, you just click on the invoice number and the invoice date ect options show up, giving the option for telephone number also.
It’s not a perfect solution, but it does do what you are after
i would love to be able to track time for my invoices (without the calendar) i use the calendar for appointments – Professional service industry
Firstly, Great app with loads of potential. The things below are things that we have struggled with while utilising invoice2go.
A few features that have already been mentioned.
1. Inventory Management is a must. You’re leaving out a huge market share by not having this feature. We are needing to seek an alternative to invoice2go purely because it lacks this feature and i’m sure we’re not the only ones. Ideally for us it would be to in decimals and not single units so we can book out a quantity 1.44 etc. as our items can be broken up.
2. Packing Slip/Delivery note: this is essentially just the ability to print an invoice without pricing on it that adds an area to sign the goods. and maybe also a tab to select “Delivered” so we can mark it off once completed fully.
You really do have great potential with this app and people will be happy to pay the extra for the above mentioned features.
I have a couple of suggestions which would help my company and I’m sure others would benefit too.
I run a carpet shop and we use I2G to create (obviously) customer invoices and estimates. But we don’t use the purchase order option because we don’t have use for them. We also don’t use the Credit Memo function because again, we have no use of it.
What I would like is to be able to change what these options are called. For example, change the “Create Purchase Order” to say, “Create Fitters Note”.
I also need a function where I can do partial payments on invoices.
If I send someone an invoice prior to the work being carried out, I would like for them to be able to log onto their invoice and pay an amount of their choice instead of the full amount.
Once someone has placed a deposit, it seems that if I send the invoice out to them, their only option is to pay the full amount. I need them to be able to place further deposits.
And lastly, refunds.
If someone cancels an item from their invoice, I would like to be able to refund an amount and this be reflected in both the invoice and the payment journal for my accountant to be able to tie up the discrepancies. As it stands, I have to remove all previous payments, enter a negative payment, then add on the previous payments in order to get the system to allow me to place a negative amount.
Hi Dominick, thanks for leaving your feedback here. Great suggestions all around. We will share this with our team. There’s a few topics we may be able to help with now. 1) Here is info on partial payments: https://support.2go.com/hc/en-us/articles/215731858-Adding-a-Deposit-or-Partial-Payment-to-Your-Invoice 2) Have you tried to refund following these steps? https://support.2go.com/hc/en-us/articles/217787858 – if you have questions, we are always available to help. Please visit us via support.2go.com. Thanks
I’m aware that I can do partial payment entry. What I want is t be able to email the invoice to my customer and then have it let THEM pay a partial payment online.
Hi Dominick – When your customer receives the invoice, they can click “Balance Due” , then “+ Make Partial Payment”. This will allow them to enter any amount they choose. Hope that helps. If not, please get in touch with our team at support.2go.com- we have a full staff there ready to help you in real time. Thanks.
As for the refunds. This only seems to work if they pay via invoice2go right?
If we have used a card machine to recess a payment or Paypal, how do I tell the software that I’ve done a refund?
Hi Dominick, that is true – refunds are only reflected automatically in your records when you issue it through Invoice2go. Please get in touch via support.2go.com and we’d be happy to assist with any questions you may have.
Thank you to everyone who left product ideas and suggestions here. We appreciate every piece of feedback and take it all seriously as we assess adding new features to Invoice2go. Please stay tuned in and we’ll do another callout for our next customer Round Table. In the meantime, you can always share your feedback with us via support.2go.com.
For our business, it would be very helpful if we could create/name our own folders within the Estimates folder. We are a tree care company that does removals and pruning, as well as plant health care spraying, and it would make things far easier if we were able to separate the different types of estimates we provide.
Hi Stephanie – thanks for the feedback, we’ll share this with our team. We’re always considering new ways to improve the product so this is really helpful to know. Thanks.
I’m new to the app. Right away the one thing I NEED is a bill to address and a bill for address. Bill to XYZ company billing for work completed at 123 Main st. We are a plumbing service company and do a bulk of work for property management companies. So the bill to address is the property manager, and the bill for is the actual address where the work was performed. Any help with that would be awesome.
I really love invoice2go. we use it successfully. However there is one minor issue. We now use the purchase order formula to create a delivery note and therefor we have to creat a purchase order in word. which is not convenient. A big help to all your clients would be if there would be a standard delivery note added!!! If the developers van do that this app is unbeatable !!
hi, i know this has been mentioned loads of times, but inventory would be great, as i feel the same way as many others, we have to enter all our stock details anyway so it would not mean much more work to add inventory to your app, some of the posts about this were more than 3 years ago, surely you can do something soon, as i know lots of people are finding alternatives because of this including me.
