Entrepreneurs are no strangers to experiencing burnout. In one Harvard study, 25% said they felt burned out. In this free mini-course, led by Lexi and licensed professionals from the Centered network, you’ll learn body movements, thought exercises, and other strategies to help you understand the root causes of your burnout, reduce physical symptoms, and bounce back energized and rejuvenated. 

In the homework assignments, you’ll master these stress management techniques so you can use them whenever you’re experiencing burnout. By the end of the course, you’ll know exactly how to recover from burnout and reignite the fire that motivated you to launch your business in the first place. 

Day 1: Restoring your body 🧘‍♂️🧘‍♀️ 

Life as an entrepreneur is constantly go, go, go – but what you really need when you’re experiencing burnout is rest. Join Zacha Belok, a somatic educator and therapist, in briefly hitting pause to turn your focus toward your body. 

In this module, you’ll learn a restorative practice that’ll tune you into what happens in your body during burnout and exhaustion. Since learning to be your own caregiver is key to the burnout recovery process, you’ll also listen to your body and identify what it needs. As a heads up, you’ll need some space for this exercise, maybe on your bed or even on the floor.

Day 2: The 5 levels of why 🤔

Understanding why you’re burned out is also essential to the burnout recovery process. Otherwise, any coping strategies will likely only treat the symptoms, not the underlying causes. 

In this module, you’ll learn a journaling exercise that’ll push you to increase your self-awareness, called 5 Levels of Why. With holistic health coach Jen Cui by your side, you’ll dig deep to identify the root causes of your burnout so you can get clear on how to tackle them. 

Day 3: Body stretches for to manage stress 🙆‍♀️🙋‍♂️

When you experience severe burnout, you might feel like you’re alone, and everything is closing in on you. In other words, burnout can make you – and your world – feel small. 

In this module, led by Edward Pike, a body psychotherapist, discover a stretching exercise that’ll remind you that you’re much bigger than your burnout. Find some space where you can move around so you can really get into this exercise. It might feel awkward at first, but commit to it, and you’ll quickly notice the mental benefits and enhanced energy.

Day 4: The “ACEs” thought exercise 💭 

Physical and emotional exhaustion are classic symptoms of burnout. You might find it hard to motivate yourself to get regular exercise, socialize, or pretty much anything that draws you out of your head – even if you’re well aware of the mental benefits of doing so.

In this module, join Lisa Andresen, a therapist for high achievers, in learning ACEs, a technique that’ll guide you toward engaging in at least one self-care activity. Short for achievement, closeness, and enjoyment – the three types of activities most likely to increase positive emotions – ACEs helps you be strategic about doing things that might not be easy when you’re feeling emotionally exhausted, but will ultimately improve your well-being in the long run. 

Day 5: The Editing Suite 🎥

During moments of stress, it might seem like no matter what you do, nothing goes your way. Over time, you feel hopeless, and burnout starts to set in. 

In this module, led by holistic therapist and coach Ruth Anderson-Davis, you’ll learn a stress management technique to help you feel in control in situations where you’re not. Find a quiet, comfortable place to follow Ruth’s voice as she guides you through an exercise that involves visualizing yourself pushing a series of buttons, knobs, and levers to lower the intensity of your negative feelings.
