Submissions for the Invoice2go Australian Tradie of the Year contest open on 13 March 2020 at 12pm AEDT and close on 13 April 2020 at 11.59pm AEDT. We reserve the right to extend the date and any extensions will be published in these Guidelines.
Submitter must have a current subscription with Invoice2go, no additional purchase necessary.
Only customers currently residing in Australia are eligible to enter. Must be 18 or older to enter.
Inappropriate content or submissions not appropriate for the category in which it was submitted for will be disqualified at the discretion of the judges.
Submit a short video up to 90 seconds to address the final 2 questions.
By submission, submitter represents that the submission is original and does not infringe the intellectual property rights of any other person or entity. Submitter grants to Invoice2go permission to use, reproduce, distribute, publicly perform, publicly display, publish, broadcast and prepare derivative works of, without any obligation to compensate, the submission, and also give permission to use submitter’s name, photograph, portrait, likeness, voice, biography, in advertising and marketing on the Invoice2go website, its mobile applications and on its social media networks.
One winner will be selected in each of the following four categories of submission: 1. Male Tradie of the Year, 2. Female Tradie of the Year, 3. New Tradie of the Year, 4. Community/Hero Tradie of the Year. Submitter may only enter one category to be considered as a winner. By entering multiple submissions under different categories, all submissions will be disqualified.
Judges will be a selected group of industry leaders. Criteria that will be used to evaluate entries and decide winners are: Commitment to the trades, Business acumen, Qualifications/Quality, Community focus, Unique story, Long-term plans and Originality of entry. Decisions of the judges will be final. Winners will be notified via the contact information given at the point of submission.
Prize to be awarded to each of the five category winners. Each winner will also receive AUD $1000.00 cash and a one-year subscription to the premium Invoice2go Unlimited plan, a AUD $549.99 value. The five contest winners will have the right to display their winner title: “Invoice2go Tradie of the Year” on invoices, estimates, business cards, websites, trucks, job sites. Additionally, winners will be featured in Invoice2go’s press release for local and national distribution to media outlets throughout Australia as well as in social media, Invoice2go customer emails and the Invoice2go global website. Total retail value of all prizes for each winner is AUD $1549.99. Winners are responsible for any and all taxes imposed on the prizes.
By entering into this contest, all submitters agree to be bound by these Official Rules. Winners will be required to complete a statement of eligibility and publicity release prior to receipt of a prize. Invoice2go reserves the right to award any prize to a runner up if the selected winner is ineligible according to or fails to comply with these Official Rules or is unable to be contacted.
General Rules: By entering, you agree to be bound by these Official Rules. Invoice2go is not responsible for late, lost, delayed, or undeliverable entries or network, computer, hardware, software or transmission malfunctions, failures or difficulties.
Release. Except where prohibited, by participating in the contest, submitter consents to the use of his/her name, photo and/or likeness, biographical information, entry and statements for Invoice2go’s advertising and promotional purposes without additional compensation. All entries, as applicable, become the property of Invoice2go. Submitter agrees to release, indemnify, defend and hold Invoice2go, harmless, from any and all claims, injuries, damages, expenses or losses to person or property and/or liabilities of any nature that in any way arise from participation in this contest or acceptance or use of a prize, including without limitation (i) any condition caused by events beyond Invoice2go’s control that may cause the contest or the Tradie of the Year event to be delayed or cancelled; (ii) any injuries, losses, or damages (compensatory, direct, incidental, consequential or otherwise) of any kind arising in connection with or as a result of the prize, or acceptance, possession, or use of the prize, or from participation in the contest.
Limitation of Liability. IN NO EVENT WILL INVOICE2GO BE LIABLE TO YOU FOR ANY DIRECT, SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL, EXEMPLARY, PUNITIVE OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES (INCLUDING LOSS OF USE, DATA, BUSINESS OR PROFITS) ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR PARTICIPATION IN THE CONTEST, WHETHER SUCH LIABILITY ARISES FROM ANY CLAIM BASED UPON CONTRACT, WARRANTY, TORT (INCLUDING NEGLIGENCE), STRICT LIABILITY OR OTHERWISE, AND WHETHER OR NOT INVOICE2GO HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH LOSS OR DAMAGE.
Winners will be announced via email by 23 April 2020.
