You’ve recently heard from our CEO, Greg Waldorf, on the updates we made to our app and I wanted to give you further detail on the improvements we’re working on. I lead product here at Invoice2go and I’m going to be responsible for rolling out rapid changes and improvements to the app over the coming weeks and months.

For those of you who used certain features in our old app – particularly Calendar2go, Reports and BAS2go (for our Australian customers), and others – I can see the new app has caused significant frustration and I sincerely apologize for that. I can also see that we can make improvements to areas such as the way invoices are organized, the speed and simplicity of using the app and how you sort and view expenses based on your feedback.

Improvements are underway. Some involve fixing issues you’ve flagged and rebuilding the things you love and miss from the old app. Next, we will move to focus on brand new features that will make managing your day-to-day business even easier.  We will strive to continuously make the app better and better, not only by adding new features but also by optimizing and tuning existing capabilities.

What exactly are we doing?

Topic Status

Invoice Status: we have fixed the issues relating to partial payments and other status errors. Complete

Search: you can now search your documents by most fields including: item description, product code, billing address, shipping address, and shipping tracking numbers. Complete

Organizing your invoices: you will be able to view all unpaid invoices, filter by year, view totals, sort by client, and sort lists in both directions. You’ll also be able to reorder items on an invoice. In progress

Printing and PDFs: A number of changes are being made to more consistently match the invoice preview and PDFs and paper printouts. This will fix issues where invoices preview as one page but generate a two page PDF. In progress

Expenses: you’ll be able to sort your expenses by date and view category totals. In progress

Shortcuts: you’ll be to take ‘bulk actions’ like marking multiple invoices as paid. In progress

Taxes: you’ll be able to set the tax rate on an invoice and apply it to all items. In progress

Calendar2go: for those customers using Calendar2go, we’ll be able to send you the data from the old app. In progress

Reports: you’ll be able to view reports in the app without having to export. In progress

Bas2go: for those of you who used Bas2go, you will soon be able to generate this information as a report. While it won’t be in the ‘app’ form from the old app, you will be able to see the same data for the reporting period you select. We’ll update you again when we have a date for this release. In progress

(Last updated: 6/22/2017 – Please visit our Help Center article for the latest updates and progress on the new Invoice2go).

Addressing your feedback is our number one priority. As we complete each of these changes the new Invoice2go app will be automatically updated and ready for you to use. While we don’t have exact timing on the delivery of all of these enhancements, we have all hands on deck and we’re working as quickly as possible and will keep you updated on progress.

Thank you for your patience while we bring you the improvements you’re calling for. In the meantime, please keep your suggestions coming via the ‘Send Feedback’ link in the app’s main menu.
