Ben explains how the coronavirus stimulus packages affect employers and subcontractors in the UK for business owners and employees

On the 20th of April, Ben Palmer, Head Of Employment at Oakwood Solicitors Ltd hosted a Facebook Live to answer questions on employment law and COVID-19.

In this video, you can access helpful info about these topics:

    • Sick Pay
    • Childcare
    • Furlough

Ben explains new provisions to sick pay, specifically the isolation guidelines for employees who think they may have been exposed to COVID-19. He also covers the new childcare allowances and who is eligible.

One of the most confusing, yet vital, topics Ben explains is furlough; what it is and what employees/employers are entitled to.  These provisions and schemes may be confusing for businesses, but Ben walks through the up to date information and how to personally stay up to date.

In addition to the above topics, Ben answered questions throughout the video and at the end. You can watch the whole video here.
